Denmark named best climate performer

The report, Climate Change Performance index 2014, states that:

Denmark clearly defended its fourth place in this year’s Index. Its policy evaluation is exceptional; it managed to slightly improve its score in nearly every sector com¬pared to the previous year.

Last year Denmark also received the highest ranking with a score of 72.61 points out of 100 for its collected climate efforts. This year the score was 75.23 points. 

The report is compiled by Climate Action Network Europe and German Watch with the aim of showing what the world’s countries are doing to mitigate CO2 emissions, implement renewable energy etc.
