Agricultural Development Denmark Asia (ADDA)

Hveiti is backing ADDA, which is a Danish NGO working with agricultural development in Asia and Africa.

  • ADDA consists of members from a broad section of the Danish population, both teaching and advisory institutions, associations, private agro-industrial companies, and individuals with an interest in Danish development work, focusing on agriculture in Southeast Asia.

  • ADDA recieves its financial support from the above organisations and individual members together with support from DANIDA (a department under the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

  • ADDA aims to assist with improving the level of self- sufficiency for the poorest parts of the Southeast Asian rural population, among others returned refugees.

  • ADDA wishes to achieve this major objective by establishing long lasting contacts and co-operation with local NGOs in Southeast Asia and other Developing countries.

Ocean Centre Denmark

Hveiti cooperates with Ocean Centre Denmark, which is a development project involving Norddjurs County, Aarhus University and the Kattegatcentret, whose goal is to establish a combined research, business and adventure center at Grenaa South Harbour.

The Kattegatcentre

Hveiti is the sponsor of the adventure zone in the Kattegatcentre called “Havet i maven” (The ocean in the belly). Havet i maven focuses on the road from the maritime food chains to the food that ends up on our dinner tables. The background material and knowledge about sustainable fishing is based on the WWF project “Hva for en fisk?” (What fish?).
